Creative Content: 5 Easy Ways to Create Content For Your Website

Last Updated : September 27, 2022 By Rana Leave a Comment

Creative content creation is one of the hardest things in marketing.

You need to:

  • Research
  • Come up with new ideas consistently
  • Create attention-grabbing headlines
  • Write engaging introductions and subheadings
  • Include calls to actions
  • A lot more

So, if you’re sick of looking at the white screen, you’ll find ideas to start creating creative content quickly after reading this.

What is creative content?

Most businesses create content to sell their products or services.

If your content is helping you achieve this crucial business goal, your content is creative. You should never compromise clarity to look smart when creating content to grow your business.

Creative content that converts visitors into customers usually has one of the following key elements:

  • Informative
  • Educative
  • Entertaining

Your goal should be how to include one or more of the above elements in your content.

Following are my five favourite ways to create creative content quickly.

1. Frequently asked questions

Your customer services or support email inbox is the best way to find creative content ideas easily.

You can follow the following steps to create content that will answer your customer’s questions and save you time responding to the same question in the future.

  • Review the frequent questions your customers are asking
  • Write your best answer to that question and publish it on your website as a blog post
  • Share a link to that blog post each time anyone asks that question

Here are the benefits of doing this:

  • It saves time for you or your customer services team
  • Your customers get better, consistent and more detailed answers to their questions
  • The more quality pages on your website, the more chances of getting organic traffic from search engines

Don’t ignore this; start creating quality content by answering your customers’ questions.

Darren Rowse, the founder of ProBlogger.net, is an Australian blogger, speaker, and consultant and makes one of the best content writing success stories. He began his career in 2002 blogging on several sites, and today his blogs get millions of visitors per month.

He has been in this industry for over 18 years now and is one of the top blog content writers in the world. He shares his extensive knowledge of content writing through his blogs, helping and inspiring millions of people worldwide. ProBlogger also has its podcast and series of e-books and features the work of aspiring blog writers worldwide.

Tips shared by Darren Rowse to find your creative content ideas are: Read your visitor’s questions in the comments section on your blog posts and consider them for future posts, review others’ blogs and read books, newspapers and magazines.

2. Social media groups for your niche

Social media has taken over the world in the last decade and is integral to many people’s daily lives.

No matter your niche, you’ll find social media groups where your audience hangs out.

For example:

  • Join niche specific Facebook group
  • Review what people are discussing there
  • Create content around the popular discussion topics

If you do this correctly, you can get plenty of content creation ideas and can generate leads and website traffic by answering questions in those groups.

Neil Patel is a blogger and a New York Times Bestselling author. According to The Wall Street Journal, he is a top influencer on the web. He has also been named one of the top 10 marketers by Forbes. President Obama has recognized him amongst the top 100 entrepreneurs under the age of 30 and, by the United Nations, among the top 100 entrepreneurs under the age of 35.

His marketing blog neilpatel.com receives more than 4 million visitors per month. His content writing samples are a great place to start if you are trying to improve your own content. He also provides excellent social media content writing examples on his website.

Tips shared by Neil Patel to find creative content ideas on social media are: Review online groups (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), track the people who follow you, Use hashtags to find the topics and related questions they ask, brainstorm on them, and consider them as your future blog posts.

3. Explore Quora

Quora is one of the most valuable social media sites online, which is full of questions in all sorts of niches.

You can search Quora using your niche-specific keywords and find popular questions to create creative content.

You can also use Quora to build authority in your niche by answering the questions there.

Here are the few things you can do with your answer to gain momentum:

  • Add an image
  • Provide well-source answers
  • Be a thought leader in that specific subject

Cara Tarbaj is a content marketer at Wishpond, a marketing platform that makes it easy for marketers to create landing pages for free. Cara swears by Quora as her 2nd highest traffic generation source compared to all other traffic generators.

Using Quora, Cara’s team pulled over 23000 views to their posts in just a month. This went to attract 13,470 visitors to their website. Cara’s primary strategy is to avoid all the general questions related to her industry and stick to the most relevant questions that target her business.

Tips shared by Cara Tarbaj to find creative content ideas on Quora and to drive back traffic to your website are: Answer questions with helpful advice and link back to your blog post; choose a blog post to use as your answer and a link back that has multiple examples or strategies and find a new question to answer or choose one with more than 1,000 views per week.

4. Review your competition

It is a good idea to review your competition and determine what is working for them.

You can use tools like Ahref or Ubbersuggest to see the popular pages on your competitor’s website and see if you can create better content around the popular topics.

Reviewing your competitors is an excellent way to:

  • Review what has worked for them
  • The type of content is popular
  • How are they getting backlinks
  • Number of keywords their pages ranking
  • Learn from their SEO strategies

While doing so, don’t forget to be creative instead of creating the same content. It will be hard to achieve results without producing better content.

Julia McCoy, the author at Search Engine Journal, is an entrepreneur and a leading strategist for creating exceptional content. At 19 years old, in 2011, she used her last $75 to build a 7-figure agency which grew to $5M and sold ten years later. She’s written six books, has impacted over 1M lives through her book Woman Rising, and has featured her story on Forbes three times. She teaches creative entrepreneurs the strategy, skills, and systems they need to build a self-sustaining business so they are finally freed up to create a lasting legacy and generational impact. Their website earns a little over 100,000 organic visitors a month.

Tips shared by Julia McCoy to find creative content ideas for future posts are: Keep tabs on your competitors’ blogs, put your readers’ feedback to good use, discover the power of mind-mapping techniques and explore new trends, breaking news, or prominent events.

5. Read, listen or watch

As a law of the farm, your output depends on your input.

The same is true with content creation as any other thing in life.

For example:

  • Your health’s output depends on your food intake
  • Your sports output depends on your consistent practice intake
  • Your business growth output depends on your marketing, sales, products/services, customer services input
  • A list goes on and on….

Similarly, it is almost impossible to create creative content without consuming (reading, listening, or watching) niche-specific and general content.

We all prefer to learn differently.

Luckily, there is no shortage of online blogs, podcasts, or YouTube videos.

Heidi Cohen is the Chief Marketing Officer at Actionable Marketing Guide. She is one of the world’s best content writers and knowledgeable marketers. Her blog HeidiCohen.com has been featured in several media houses’ top 10 marketing blogs. Her article writing samples to build your own portfolio and use it as a template to improve your skills will help you improve your content significantly.

At the age of 18, she started working for her family’s local newspaper business, and today, she is a proud recipient of New York University’s Outstanding Service Award. Heidi is a well-known public speaker who shares her marketing knowledge at top conferences and events annually. Heidi has been named in Twitter’s Nifty Fifty Women list and also tops the lists of other social media channels.

Tips shared by Heidi Cohen to become a successful content writer are: Read extensively, Capture interesting thoughts when you have them, Brainstorm ideas for future posts and Start writing where the energy of your piece is.

Pick your favorite way of learning and consume content regularly to create creative content.

Conclusion

The biggest challenge when it comes to creating creative content is to start creating content.

Every content creator faces the following challenges:

  • Generating ideas
  • Self-confidence
  • Distractions
  • Over-editing
  • Perfectionism
  • Writing consistently

Finding time to write regularly and focusing on progress rather than perfection is the key to creating creative content for your business.

How did you find my five favourite ways to find ideas for creating creative content?

They are an excellent Genesis WordPress Developers Team. After being burned by so many other providers, they were the life saver. One of the best developers team I have ever used and will continue to use. I highly recommend their services.

Our experience with WPMinds had been nothing short of amazing! About a year ago my previous development team we hired to develop a custom CMS dash, wound up hijacking our server and adding malware gateways all over the site. WPMinds was referred to me by a business associate and bringing them on was the best decision I could have made. They immediately got to work plugging all our vulnerabilities and helped us gain control of our site again. I can say without a doubt if we had not hired these guys would not be in business. We can’t say enough how grateful we are and 110% recommend their services

Their team did an amazing job on an intricate, custom designed WordPress Genesis framework. They answered all my questions, met all my requests (and I had quite a few!), and then the biggest part, have even helped make changes and tweaks after the job was complete. They are committed partners who will make sure your job is complete even after it’s completed. I would definitely recommend them to my friends.

We have worked closely with WPMinds over a year now and we have benefited greatly from this partnership. We feel as if we have our own in-house programming team. Ijaz and his team of programmers are always available and ready to help. Not only that, they also contribute with ideas on how to make our websites better. The quality and timeliness of their work is excellent. We warmly recommend their services to anyone looking for web programming services
